From the artistry of hair rolls to the elegance of my own beauty salon—the journey of Anibelka Ramos. ✨✂️
Since I was a child, beauty was my world. I was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and since I was 9 years old, I have managed to get into a beauty academy near my grandmother's house. I said I was going to organize the rolls just so they would let me stay, but what I really wanted was to learn. And I succeeded. At 13, almost 14 years old, I graduated as a professional stylist, even before finishing high school. Not only did I graduate, but I did it with honors and became a teacher at the academy for five or six years. From the beginning, my talent for hairstyles surprised everyone, which opened many doors for me.
I worked in recognized magazines in the Dominican Republic such as Hola, Santiago City, and Peinados Joyas de Supermercado Nacional. I was also a hairdresser for important events such as Corazones Unidos and figures such as Miss Dominican Republic; Miss Universe of Puerto Rico, Denise Quiñones; Candela Ferro from Telemundo; and Eddie González.
I styled for Dominican television and for prominent families such as the Turín, Bermúdez, and Acevedo Estrella families. But my story didn’t end there. At 27, I decided to emigrate to the United States. It wasn’t easy to start from scratch in a new country, but I told myself: if I made it in my country, why not here? I worked in only two salons before taking the big step: in 2017 I opened my own beauty salon, Anny Hair Design. Today, I am the CEO of a larger salon, Anny Hair Design, where I continue to grow, train as a colorist, and improve myself with courses and workshops.
My passion remains intact, and my mission is to help every person who comes into my salon feel beautiful and confident. In addition to being a businesswoman, I am a mother of two children and a strong woman who has learned that dreams have no limits when you work with passion and dedication.
Thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey. The best is yet to come! ✨
